L’IRRIGATION MODERNE DANS L’OASIS LAHMAR (BECHAR, ALGERIE) : PROBLEMATIQUE ET CONSEQUENCES

Abstract

RESUME Nous examinons dans le présent article les effets de l’introduction de nouvelles techniques d’irrigation depuis plus d’un demi-siècle dans l’oasis de Lahmar. Sur la base des missions effectuées durant les années 2013 et 2014 dans l’oasis de Lahmar, nous avons menés des investigations sur le site et des enquêtes auprès de la population locale. Il s’avère que la multiplication anarchique des motopompes et l’accroissement des forages ont provoqué l’abaissement rapide de la nappe et par conséquent l’assèchement des sources qui sont le véritable château d’eau des foggaras de l’oasis de Lahmar. Des seguais, des puits et des foggaras ont été abandonnées, laissons la place au nouveau.ABSTRACT We discuss in this article the effects of the introduction of new irrigation techniques for over half a century in the oasis of Lahmar. Based on the missions carried out in the years 2013 and 2014 in the oasis of Lahmar, we conducted investigations on the site and surveys of the local population. Turns out anarchic multiplication of pumps and increased drilling has caused the rapid lowering of the water table and therefore the drying up of sources which are the real water tower foggaras the oasis of Lahmar. Of seguias, wells and foggaras were abandoned, leave room for the new.
